From2 introduces updated global delivery cost calculator

From2 has announced the introduction of an advanced version of its Global Delivered Cost Calculator (GDCC). The GDCC is designed to eliminate all costs complexities related to international deliveries and now includes new features, improved product and services levels and more business-to-business flexibility resulting in increased benefits for international e-merchants.

New GDCCv2 features include a Product Attribute Tariff Administrative System, which reviews e-merchants' products and pre-classifies them; a more customized freight, transit time, cargo insurance and costing system that works down to the vendor or trade line level; a real-time currency exchange functionality; and a new API based on XML technology.

For those e-merchants with pre-existing international logistics routing and rating systems, From2's GDCCv2 is now able to integrate the all-inclusive delivered cost information into those systems on a transactional basis. B2B e-merchants will appreciate that the Delivery Duties Paid (DDP), Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU) and other assorted delivery pricing-based INCOTERMS 2000 methodology are incorporated in GDCCv2. Thus, enabling From2's customers to take advantage of the International Chamber of Commerce's standard commercial terms that are in constant daily use in international sales contracts throughout the world.

The GDCCv2 instantly calculates, directly on the e-merchant's Web site, the all-inclusive delivered costs in advance for international online buyers, including freight, insurance, duties, taxes, VAT, customs clearance fees and other import charges. From2's system also enables an e-merchant's customers to track their shipments online from the original e-merchant's Web site.
