Banner Adverts

Banner adverts can be placed at either the top or the bottom of each page on the Sell It! site, next to the main navigation bar. Each banner ad can also have a text message of up to 60 characters (including spaces) placed beneath it.

Banner ads are charged based on every one thousand exposures they receive, or CPM as it is known within the advertising industry. There are two different rates charged, one for adverts that rotate over the whole Web site (ROS) and one for banners that are only shown on selected, fixed pages.

Each advertiser on the Sell It! Web site is assigned a username and password that allows them to track the performance of their adverts. Reports available include daily statistics on the total number of impressions, the number of click-throughs and the click-through ratio (CTR).

Banner Adverts should be 468 pixels wide by 60 pixels high and should be no larger than 15Kb. Banners should be provided in either GIF or JPG format. Animated banners are acceptable.

Button Adverts

"Button" adverts appear in the yellow sidebar on the left hand side of each page, under the "Sponsored Links" heading. Each "button" ad can also have a text message of up to 60 characters (including spaces) placed beneath it.
