This is an ongoing problem, I agree. Most of my wholesaler distributors are geared toward brick and mortar stores so they want new and fresh products each year to their store. However, for an online retailer, the older the product the better. I do redirects but now that business is improving, I have taken to ordering large quantities of items if I think that the wholesaler will only carry them for a few months and never buy them again.

I usually leave them and redirect the page to the new replacement product if there is one.
