Guest blogging has really taken off over the past year or two. It’s a strategy for those interested in long term success and setting realistic white-hat goals. Google Alerts is also a decent way to generate guest blogging prospects if you use the correct footprints.

Guest blogging is very important for building links, reputation, getting new viewers at least to your brand if not yet to your website. Think about it tho, if the visitor happens to bump into your site in the future and recognizes you from another post they may feel like they can trust your article to be another great informative article or your product to be a great product. Also, I want to mention that guest blogging is not only great to do, but also its great to welcome guest bloggers to your site as long as the content is of high quality. I would suggest turning away posts that are not of great content. One of the ways that you can encourage great content on your site is my having a contest for different periods or something so that the guest blogger with the highest rated content gets paid more $ or wins a prize. I have implemented this on several other blogs websites and just started a contest on my blog two days ago. Anyways, give it a shot, you may find that it gets you more quality articles to your website
